Members of the BHAA are invited to tour the 500 acre outdoor sculpture museum on August 9th, 2021.
The modern sculptures by notable artists are set in meadows, groves and woodlands framed by the Hudson Highlands. Dan McCoubrey, architect, president and principle of VSBA Architects and Buck Hiller will guide us through this matrix of natural and created landscapes and the interrelation of art and architecture along with VSBA’s involvement to help prepare a comprehensive picture of the institution’s operations, programs, landscapes, and buildings and to develop broad options for future growth.
Advance tickets are required and are the responsibility of each member. We will go rain or shine.
Please visit https://stormking.org to order tickets. Tickets will go on sale 7 July 2021 at noon for admission on 9 August 2021. As there are a limited number of timed tickets we encourage members to try to get tickets soon for the morning and to carpool if possible. The grounds open at 10:00 AM. We will meet at a designated area at Storm King. Please let me know your arrival time on 9 August. Further details will follow once we know who is joining and the time members will arrive. The website including a downloadable map ought to have answers to your questions but please feel free to contact me, Karen Chase – karen.babylon1@gmail.com
