Monday, July 19
Branch Out Drawing Project (Part 1 of 2 sessions), Janice Merendino via Zoom,1-2:30pm. Janice will share the “Branch Out Method” she developed to teach non-artists (especially those that think they can’t draw.). Note: This is class 1 of a 2 part series. Second session will be held Tuesday, July 20th from 1-2:30. This requires participation in both sessions. (limit: 20 artists, ages 12+) Artist will email Zoom invitation. By signing up below you will be signed up for both sessions. Art supplies are included.
Branch Out Drawing Project (Part 2 of 2 sessions) Janice Merendino via Zoom,1-2:30pm. Janice will continue her workshop for the “Branch Out Method” she developed to teach non-artists (especially those that think they can’t draw) how to render more realistic three dimensional forms. Supplies will be provided. (limit: 20 artists, ages 12+) This is class 2 of 2 part series. Requires participation in both sessions. Art Supplies are included.
Tuesday, July 20
Silk Screen Printing, Ann Mitchell, McGuire Studio, Cresco, PA 10am-noon. Bring a PRE-WASHED tote bag, t-shirt, or pillowcase etc. to print. (limit: 6 artists)
The Field Guide Project: Blind Contour Drawing, Monique Boutin, 1-3pm, Entrance to Glade Path in Pool Parking Lot). Learn blind contour drawing from observation while exploring native and non-native species. We will use graphite and/or ink to explore line, negative space and drawing as a practice of seeing. Supplies provided. (limit: 20 artists)
Wednesday, July 21
Forest Foraging, Trish Mainwaring, at Artist’s Home Porch 10am – 12pm. In this class we will forage and collect moss, seedlings, bark, rocks and other forest treasures. Each participant will then learn techniques for creating their own container garden. Supplies provided. (limit: 6 artists)
Thursday, July 22
Printmaking and Sketching, Luigi Cicala, Tennis Tea 12pm – 3pm. Learn the techniques of printmaking and sketching. “Create to find out”. Supplies Provided. (limit: 12 artists)
Friday, July 23
Mindful Masterpieces with Melissa, Melissa Lawson, This approach introduces children to fine art in a meaningful way. Children learn about famous, and not so famous artists, and their work by recreating the “inspiration” piece, following brush strokes and simple instructions. After completion of the artwork, Melissa leads the children on an imaginary yoga journey.
(Ages 4+, Limit 10 kids per class)
